The Art of Living Well Podcast®

Jun 24, 2020

Today’s guest is Laura Swartz, a triathlete who has competed nationally and internationally at amateur world championships.

You will be in awe and inspired listening to Laura's story and how her persistency, hard work and positive mental outlook have resulted in athletic achievements into her 50's. Laura's motto is that "age is a number but it doesn't define your athletic ability or opportunity. You are not too old to try new tricks."

Growing up if someone told Laura that she couldn’t achieve one of her goals she just worked harder to prove them wrong. She is highly motivated and driven to pursue her goals and continues to push herself into her 50's.

Hard work, training and mental toughness has led her to a 2nd place finish in her age group at Nationals and she had her fastest ever bike split (avg mph) at the Minneapolis Tri last summer.

Laura doesn't let her age determine her abilities and this episode will motivate and inspire you to think the same.  Regardless of whether you've competed in a race before, have it on your bucket list or simply have a goal to move everyday, you will be inspired to tackle a new physical endeavor after hearing our conversation with Laura Swartz.
